The FPL...FPL is short for The Flying Pig Landing, the name of our farm in Central Kentucky. I love it because it also reminds me of the different airport abbreviations. 

In the midst of a turbulent phase in my life, I found solace in collecting flying pigs, each one symbolizing the endeavors I believed were beyond my grasp—things I swore I'd never do again, like remarrying, returning to college, or getting my hands dirty. You know the expression, "When Pigs Fly!"

In 2018 I defied my own expectations, returning to college and earning a doctorate. Fast forward to Halloween 2022, when I married my soulmate whom I met a year earlier. Together, we crafted my dream home on a farm I had initially purchased as a mere tax shelter.  These days, I willingly get my hands dirty caring for animals, tending to the land, and embracing the beauty of gardening.

As I reflect, some of those flying pigs have touched down, while others continue to circle the metaphorical airport around our farm, eagerly awaiting their turn to land. It's a testament to the unforeseen possibilities that life can present.

I truly hope that these flying pigs serve as a flashing neon sign to you—that nothing is impossible, improbable, out of your grasp, and to NEVER SAY NEVER. Consider acquiring some flying pig merch as a tangible reminder that you are more than enough, fully capable of achieving anything you set your mind to. Sometimes, the very things you vowed never to do turn out to be the most rewarding decisions you'll ever make.
